MDS Update
Since our last website update of January, 2007, we have been very busy. MDS personnel continued to support government
agencies and private organizations in moving toward a sustainable United States economy.
By request, MDS recommended work skill training needs to the California Employment Development Department. A presentation
on the business advantages of virtual and digital companies was provided to the Licensing Executive Society-San Diego.
MDS personnel attended California's fuel planning meeting. We gave a presentation on the society benefits of a Digital and
Virtual Work Force to executives of the California Center for Sustainable Energy. MDS personnel participated in scientific
seminars covering topics of Global Warming, California's AB-32 Green House Gas Law, and emerging Bio-Fuels technologies.
MDS personnel attended the US National District Export Council Trade Conference. MDS provided personnel to facilitate
the Licensing Executive Society-San Diego and the International Trade Advisory Board-San Diego monthly meetings.
MDS has not forgotten its medical technology mission. MDS undertook a major medical device product line development project for
Uresil, LLC, Skokie, IL. The year long project was completed successfully without significant Green House Gas emissions.
MDS efforts on the project resulted in a new product patent being filed by Uresil for the TRU-SET™ locking system.
The TRU-SET™ Suture Retention Catheter product line introduction occurred on March 8, 2009 at the Interventional Radiology
Convention in San Diego, California. See below new content link to read the story of a truly low energy consumption development project and see images
of the new catheter locking system. MDS is grateful to Uresil, LLC for allowing us to share this story.
Our personnel constantly upgrade their technology knowledge and skills. MDS has memberships in the San Diego technology sharing CONNECT/MIT Forum and the
international organization, Hong Kong Association of Southern California. We are active in both organizations. Our constant training includes SolidWorks CAD, materials,
manufacturing and bio processes, economic and environment sustainability, quality, international trade, Cisco Systems, and Internet Technology. MDS
personnel regularly attend technology and medical product shows.
MDS Website Content
Website Update
Before rewriting website content, we first reviewed our former articles to assure they are still relevant. Although many of the
articles were written years ago, we found these articles were accurate in projecting the current global
economic, climate, and work problems. We made few adjustments in the articles.
A Digital Work Force is a concept that is gaining momentum. Several universities and training organizations have contacted us regarding
creating education and training content to cover Digital Work required skills. We decided to retain both the Technical Services
section which is focused on our medical technology services and the Digital Work Consulting section which
was fostered by UCLA Anderson School of Management. This section contains thoughts on organizational assistance, environmental articles,
and reflections on business structure transitions. We invite you to send us your questions via links on the Contact Us webpage.
New Content
We added a Green House Gas Solution Comparison to our selection of Digital Work Articles.
The link is provided below. A lot of confusion exists regarding what are the best solutions to tame the Green House
Gas emissions. During 2009, the US will likely commit to hard targets to achieve an 80% reduction from the 2005 Green House Gases production level by
2050. The US also has economic and work problems that need to be addressed. For more than a decade MDS personnel have
participated in discussions in each area. The chart reflects our thoughts regarding which solutions offer the most value to society.
